  1. Sticky Drawers • Have you ever noticed drawers in dressers that get sticky when there has been a lot of rain or high humidity? On very wet days, wooden drawers in dressers absorb water from the air through osmosis. This absorption warps the wood, making opening & closing the drawers more difficult. In drier weather, water is lost from the wood, & the drawers return to their original size.
