  2. Climate • An average of 50 to 260 inches (125 to 660 cm.) of rain fall. • The temperature in a rain forest rarely gets higher than 93 °F (34 °C) or drops below 68 °F (20 °C) yearly.

Interesting feature and/or facts • Rainforests are forests that experience a high level of rainfall per year. • may be millions of plant and insect species in rainforests that have yet to be discovered. • Rainforests used to cover 14% of the Earth’s surface but now only 6% • A wide variety of animals live in rainforests, including birds, snakes, insects, jaguars, cougars, chameleons, turtles, frogs, and many more. • Tropical rainforests lie in the tropics (around 28 degrees north or south of the equator).
