Computer History By: Amanda Galbraith
Computers Are Introduced First Laptop: Created by Adam Osborne in 1980, Osborne Computer Corporation produced the first commercially successful portable personal computer, the Osborne 1. This self-contained unit was about the size of a suitcase and included 64K of memory, a monochrome monitor, a keyboard, and a disk drive. First PC: Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, the duo who began Apple Computer in 1976, are among the most well-known. Their invention of the first true personal computer changed people's ideas of what a computer could look like and what it could do for them to make their lives easier and their work more efficient.

WORM VIRUS TROJAN HORSE A program that makes copies of itself; for example, from one disk drive to another, or by copying itself using email or another transport mechanism. The worm may do damage and compromise the security of the computer. It may arrive in the form of a joke program or software of some sort. A program that makes copies of itself; for example, from one disk drive to another, or by copying itself using email or another transport mechanism. The worm may do damage and compromise the security of the computer. It may arrive in the form of a joke program or software of some sort A program or code that replicates; that is, infects another program, boot sector, partition sector, or document that supports macros, by inserting itself or attaching itself to that medium. Most viruses only replicate, though, many do a large amount of damage as well
RAM - acronym for Random-Access Memory *a bit =one binary digit 1-0 *"bit" is derived from the contraction b'it (binary digit) -> 8 bits = one byte *1024 bytes = one kilobyte*K = kilobyte*Kb = kilobit*MB = megabyte*Mb = megabit*MB/s = megabytes per second*Mb/s = megabits per second*bps = bits per secondi.e., 155 Mb/s = 19.38 MB/s Measurement Terms
