  13. Examples of Isolation • Anna – no human contact, barely kept alive, found at age 6, died at age 10 with the ability of a toddler • Isabelle – kept isolated with her mother: at age 6 could only crawl and make grunting sounds – after 2 years reached the level of her peers

  14. Genie – • Isolated from infant until 13 yrs • No interaction • Had only a potty chair and a cage in the room with her • Found at age 13 with the skills of a one-year old • never progressed past the ability of a 4 year old
