What is the meaning of Zakah? The meaning of Zakah is to help the poor people around the world, it also help the spirit of the person who paid Zakah. Zakah is also the third pillar of Islam.
What are the conditions to pay Zakah? • You have to be a Muslim, because if a non-Muslim paid Zakah they would just be paying charity. • You have to have nisaab, if you don’t have the minimum amount money (which is 2.5%) to pay Zakah you don’t pay anything. • You have to be sane, if your not sane your irresponsible and you might pay too much or too little. • You have to be an adult, if your not an adult you don’t have a job to earn money or even if you did you don’t pay Zakah.
What is the difference of Zakah and Charity? Zakah is mandatory for all Muslims, but charity is not. You have to pay zakah at least once a year but for charity you can do it any time. Zakah has to be paid to any unfortunate Muslim and charity can be paid to any unfortunate.
Types of wealth • Animals, you need 5 camels, 30 cows and 40 sheep. • Livestock, 10% if you have a natural irrigated farm, 5% if you have to pull up the water yourself. You need 653kg of crops. • Money, you need to pay 2.5% of 3 ounces of gold in cash.
