  3. Christian School Athletic Conference • Purpose of the CSAC is glorifying God by providing a Christian environment where athletic competition is kept in its proper perspective, emphasizing sportsmanship and Christian character. • Membership for 21 years • Two divisions

  4. Coaching Staff and Sports Offered • Girls Volleyball – August through October • Knotts • Co-ed Soccer – August through October • O’Connor • Girls basketball – November through February • Barton • Boys basketball – November through February • Knotts • Boys and Girls Track – February through April • Knotts, O’Connor, Barton

  5. Athletic Fees $10.00 per month for ten months charged to your account, or $100.00 fee at registration. (Same price for one or all sports) Gate fee $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for students. (This price may be more at away games.) Optional: Booster Gold Club Member $150.00 for all middle school and high school home games. Plus unlimited supply of popcorn! Optional: Middle School Booster Club Member $100.00 for middle school home games only. Plus popcorn!

  6. Athletic Period • 9th period • After school • Practices: Tuesdays or Wednesdays (TBA)

  7. Game Days • Mondays and Thursdays – starting at 4:30 • Volleyball/Basketball home games are at SMS • Home soccer games are at Lear Field • Students will remain in the gym until game time

  8. Athletic Rules and Policies 1. Athletes must pass all classes to play. If an athlete fails during the season they will not be allowed to return to the team during the season. 2. I expect all athletes to uphold the image of St. Mary’s and the team by having a good attitude and conduct towards coaches, fellow players, and other teams. 3. If an athlete cannot be at a practice or a game, I must be notified in advance. 4. If an athlete becomes a discipline problem at a game, the athlete will not be allowed to attend the next game. If an athlete becomes a discipline problem at practice, that athlete will be asked to leave and will not be allowed to attend the next game.

  9. Athletic Rules and Policies con’t. 5. If an athlete misses a game, I will decide, based on fairness to the other players, whether that athlete will play in the next game. 6. Inappropriate behavior at school or during school activities may result in suspension or expulsion from extra-curricular activities. 7. All rules and policies in the Student Handbook apply to student athletes. *If an athlete failed the last nine weeks of the previous school year, they will be on probation and must be passing all classes at the 4 ½ week mark.

  10. Concession standand Linesmen • As each new season begins, parents will be assigned times to work the concession stand for home games • If a parent is not able to work at their assigned times, it is their responsibility to find a parent to replace them • Students will not be allowed to work the concession stand • Some students will be assigned other responsibilities such as line judges, scorekeeper, etc. • Please understand that when your child’s game is over, they may have other responsibilities before they are allowed to leave

  11. Parent Expectations • Trust that the coaches and staff are professionals and will act in a professional manner. • For grievances please follow the proper order • 1. Coach • 2. Athletic Director • 3. Administrator

  12. Parent Expectations con’t. • Be a positive role model through your words and actions • Read and sign parent contract • Read Upper school handbook

  13. Fundraisers • Each athlete received three fundraising letters in their packets. Please address each letter to a close friend or family member and mail. • Students will be asked to write thank you notes to our supporters.

  14. Forms to be turned in prior to, or on the first practice: (Form) Athletic Physical if needed.
