Male Functions • Produce Sperm (male sex cells.) • Transport sperm cells to the female where they may fertilize the egg (called conception). • Puberty promotes growth of secondary sex characteristics: increased musculature, body hair, & size of genitalia, deepening of voice, thicker skin, wider shoulders, more oil & sweat production. • Sexual reproductive function continues from puberty to old age in a healthy male. • Male hormone: Testosterone.
