Starting with the 2013-14 school year, Waynesville R-VI students will only be allowed to miss 5 (five) days each semester.  This policy change is necessary due to the change in attendance requirements for accreditation established by the State of Missouri. Accreditation status shows that a school district is meeting state performance standards. To be fully accredited, the state requires 90 percent of the students to be at school 90 percent of the time. In addition, a district must ensure continuous improvement and innovation to increase student achievement and prepare students for success in college and careers. East Elementary (K-2) has infused ideas from this book along with concepts from the program The Leader In Me into their model for helping new students transitioning into the school.Their approach not only helps new students adjust, but also builds anti-bullying skills.

25. SPORTS PASSES Sports passes are available for purchase in the Athletic Office for admission into school athletic events. The individual pass allows the holder to be admitted to all home contests during the term of the pass. The family pass allows the holder and his/her immediate family to be admitted to all home contests during the term of the pass. School employee passes and family/individual passes will not be accepted at district or other state level contests. The cost of the passes are as follows: Individual Season Pass $15.00

Interact Club- MS and HS The Interact Club is the youth based club for Rotary International Youth aged 12-18 learn lessons in “Helpfulness and respect for others” and “Understanding the value of of individual responsibility and hard work” through service learning based programs that help communities. (www.rotary.org) The Waynesville R-VI School District Interact Club at the middle school works once a week with the Waynesville VISTA office to help pack food for the Snack In A Pack program. 33. Power School Power School allows you to quickly and easily access your student’s grades online. Check attendance, find out what assignments are missing, or simply pay lunch money all in one convenient location.

34. Power School A Power School login request sheet is handed out by the schools when a student is enrolled. Parents will need to fill out this form and return it to the main office at the student’s school. An account will be set up for the parents. Once the account is set up, parents will be notified of login information by e-mail. The first time parents log onto their new account, they will be prompted to create a password for the account.
