Tips • Focus on the subject/theme • Use of words: Paint a picture..helps to create a mental image; Describe the person, place or object (Adjectives, adverbs, comparatives, superlatives) • I looked at the mountain on my journey. • I stared excitedly at the snow-capped mountain, as I started my longest journey. • Reader interest: Paint a picture using ‘5 senses’ • Re-reading and redo

  7. My Journey As I hiked up the dangerous and slippery path, there is a trail that extends before me, leading into the horizon as I look upon the daylight. At times, this road is straight and narrow. At other places, the trail twists and bends, even branching out into separate paths. Eventually, though, it will lead me to the end. And the end shall be well worth the journey.
