Red flag words Red flag words are words used in suspenseful stories like: in the blink of an eye, suddenly, and out of the blue. Can you think of some red flag words? words
How to write a suspenseful story 1. Put in a red flag word (out of the blue). 2. Say what you saw, heard, smelled, what ever (I heard a door slam). 3. Put in something that you were thinking (my heart pounded, maybe it was just my imagination. I thought to myself). 4. Repeat steps 1-3 so you have 3 red flag words, three clues, and three thoughts. 5. Add a conclusion.
