Comparing • On your organizer, complete the TTH text column. • What literary elements created suspense? • What surprised you? Frightened you? Made you nervous?
Now we will view two versions of “The Tell-Tale Heart.” • As you watch, pay attention to how suspense is built in each film. • Record what you notice on your chart • What made you surpised/nervous/fearful? • What cinematic elements were used to create suspense? • What was different from the other pieces? • You will be asked to compare how each piece built suspense within the audience.
