Eid • Eid is an islamic holiday that marks the end of Ramadam - the month of fasting. • Eid is a joyful celebration. It is a day of forgiveness, victory and peace, fellowship, brotherhood and unity. • Muslims are not only celebrating the end of fasting, but thanking God for the help and strenght that he gave them in the previous month. • “Eid mubarak ho”, which means “Happy Eid”
Interesting facts • The holiday of is so important to Muslims throughout the world that in some countries this day is a Public Holiday • On the day of Ramadam famillies vist each other and exchange Ramadam gifts and greeting of Ramadam Mubarak .
Why this festival is Different to the Celebrations in New Zealand? This celebration is different to New Zealand because people do fasting for a month and they have to eat food before sunrise and sunset , and then at the end of the month they have a celebration called Eid.
