  2. How to Get There • Air • Florida is accessible through many international airports • The busiest of the airports are Miami, Orlando, Tampa, and Ft. Lauderdale • Many flights leave Canada daily including those from Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal • Flying time from Ontario to Florida is about 3 hours

  3. Rail • Rail travel is also important in Florida with most major centers linked with rail networks • Amtrak is the major rail network in the USA and has a few lines in Florida • Jacksonville is the major hub with lines going; • West to Tallahassee, Pensacola and Alabama • Along the East coast to Miami • Lines to Orlando and Tampa

  4. Road • Most popular way to get to Florida is driving • Interstate highways link from Ontario to Florida (I-75, I-95) • These Interstates also head deep into Florida to access Miami • The state is also crossed by I-10, I-4, and the Florida Turnpike

  5. Climate • Winter • Has ideal temperatures and weather • 700F – 800F (210C – 270C) during the days, cool at night (can get cold with some snow) • little rain, some humidity

  6. Summer • Warm to hot temperatures, high humidity • Brief but intense thunderstorms • Hurricane potential throughout the whole state from June to November
