5. What is…The Buffalo International Film Festival? The Buffalo International Film Festival, Inc. was founded as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit charitable organization on January 21, 2005. BIFF is planning a major international Film Festival celebrating artistic and cultural diversity for the benefit of Western New York and the world community. The festival will include film and video competitions, screenings, educational events, and appearances by industry professionals and personalities. Festival events and year round activities will be held at various venues in and around the Buffalo-Niagara area.

The Buffalo International Film Festival is dedicated to the mission of recognizing the achievements of Western New Yorkers and bringing visitors from all over the world to contribute to the local economy.
