  3. WE, TOO, NEED TO STAND UP FOR JESUS! Stand up Stand up for Jesus Ye soldiers of the cross Lift high His royal banner It must not suffer loss From vict’ry unto victr’y His army shall he lead Till ev’ry foe is vanquished And Christ is Lord indeed!

  4. BELIEVERS ARE EQUIPPED FOR WARFARE Their Position is Secure in Christ • Chosen by the Father • Redeemed by the Son • Sealed by the Spirit • Lifted from death to life Their Action Plan is Ordained by God and Solid • Be united (no cracks in the collective armor) • Help all believers become mature warriors • Make known God’s manifold wisdom • Declare it to principalities and powers in heavenly places • Put on the whole armor of God • Always pray!

  5. PAUL URGED THE EPHESIANS TO… Eph.6:10 Be strong in the Lord and in the power of HIS might And put on the WHOLE armor of God…

  6. WHY? Eph.6:11 …That you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil!

  7. CHRISTIAN WARFARE IS SPIRITUAL Because we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against • Principalities • Powers • Rulers of the darkness of this age • Spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places Eph.6:12

THEREFORE GOD’S ARMOR IS SPIRITUAL The weapons of our warfare are not worldly, But mighty in God for pulling down strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:4 EACH PIECE OF THIS ARMOR IS… • A biblical truth • Given to us by God • Made powerful and effective by God – if… • We know, understand, and ACT on it • Suited for both defensive and offensive tactics

  9. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Eph.6:13

  10. Stand therefore having girded your waist withTRUTH

  11. Having put on the breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS

  12. And having shod your feet with the preparation of theGOSPEL of PEACE Eph.6:15

  13. Above all, taking the shield ofFAITHwith which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

  14. And take the helmet of SALVATION = DELIVERANCE

  15. And theSWORD of the SPIRIT which is theWORD OF GOD Eph.6:17

  16. Eph.6:18 PRAYING ALWAYS with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit;Being watchfulto this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. AND ABOVE ALL – PRAY!

  17. FINALLY, Stand on the Promises of God Standing on the promises of Christ my King Through eternal ages let His praises ring Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing Standing on the promises of God Chorus: Standing – standing Standing on the promises of God my Savior Standing – standing I’m standing on the promises of God.
