  3. Funding Transport Delivery of new ambulance from Niles Auto New and repaired ambulances parked along US 1

  4. Funding Transport • Fully equipped ambulance for medical emergencies • Peak times: 5 turtle calls per hour (rare) • Covering all of the Florida Keys, 120-mile island chain • Conducting outreach minimum 30 days per year • In addition, we visit schools and rest homes

  5. Main Pool: surrounded by ten 500-gallon tanks & five square dividable tanks Funding Tanks Annex: two 2,000-gallon, large turtle tanks & six 500-gallon tanks

  6. Funded purchase of 24 tanks since 2002 Economy of installation by our own staff Funding Tanks Divided tank Room for procedures in large tanks

  7. Emergency Grant • Hurricane Wilma tidal surge in October 2005. • $19,960.51 license plate emergency grant allowed quick restoration of facility. • No turtles were harmed (just lost for a few days).

  8. Blood analysis equipment allows in-house results as well as training & consultation. Funding Technology X-ray scanner allows the conversion of 25-year patient history into digital files.

  9. Funding Technology Customized ventilator allows adjusted intervals of .5 to 4 minutes. Extremely useful for long recovery times of sea turtles.

  10. Education Center Remodel Completed in September 2010 for $38,824.00.
