Features (cont.) • New Network Tray for VPN, wireless access • Auto-dims screen if not used for a while, saves battery • Includes a nice snipping tool • Powerful, responsive, efficient memory use
XP Mode • Preinstalled VM of Windows XP w/SP3 • Virtual PC for Win 7 • Requires Virtualization enabled hardware • Win 7 Pro or Ultimate, not home • Shortcuts from XP can be run from Win 7 • Can make multiple copies of XPM vhd file • For different uses
64-Bit • Take better advantage of x64 hardware • Core 2 Duo or Quad Core processors • No 4GB Memory Limit • 32-bit still limited to 4gb • Most programs will run fine on 64-bit Win 7 • Much better performance for 3D design, gaming
