Obedience brings blessings/ Disobedience brings curses- Deuteronomy 28

We rob God when we withhold from Him what is rightfully His! Leviticus 27:30
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse that there may be food in my house.
The whole tithe- You cannot expect a full blessing with partial obedience.
Into the storehouse-the official gathering place, the place of worship, ministry and mission
That there may be food in my house- Provision for ministry and mission of the local church to the community.
God’s proclamation and promise Test me in this and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. Verses 10-12
When we tithe, we remove all hindrances; we open the floodgates of God’s blessings
The plural indicates that there are multiple channels of blessings.
Tithing is a significant sign of God’s Lordship in our lives.If Jesus is not Lord of all; He is not Lord at all.
Faithfulness in our finances is a mark of Christian maturity.
There are various offerings in the scripture: • Sin offerings – Exodus 29:14 • Burnt offerings – Exodus 29:18 • Peace offerings – Exodus 29:24 • Sheave offerings – Exodus 29:27 • Drink offerings – Exodus 29:40 • Meal and meat offerings – Leviticus 2:1 • Thanks offerings – Leviticus 7:12

We reap what we sow! How much we reap is dependent on how much we sow.II Corinthians 9:10-13
The amount of offerings is guided by two primary principles: 1. What we have decided in our hearts to give-II Corinthians 9:7 2. According to our ability – II Corinthians 8:12

God has a heart for the poor • I Samuel 2:8 • Psalms 35:10 • Jeremiah 20:13 • Luke 16:22 God has a heart for the needy and we should, too Deuteronomy 15:7-8
