  3. The Powers • The gods were believed to have special powers. • This is Poseidon. The god of the sea.

  4. Olympic Games!!! • Every four years, the Greeks held an athletic contest to honor Zeus, the god of gods.

  5. The gods myths. • The myths helped the Greeks explain a lot of thing.

  6. Aphrodite • Aphrodite was the goddess of beauty and love <3.

  7. Poseidon • Poseidon was the god of the sea.

Gods.. • Zeus- king of the gods and ruler of Mount Olympus • Hera- wife of Zeus, protector of families, children, and the home • Ares- god of war • Athena- goddess of wisdom • Apollo– god of truth, intelligence, music, and poetry • Poseidon- god of the sea • Aphrodite- goddess of love and beauty • Hermes- god of good luck and wealth • Hades- god of the underworld
