  8. Assumption 1 • Traditional Teaching is a must in undergraduate studies of practical disciplines • Hands on Experience is crucial

  10. Assumption 3 • Shift to e-Learning is still in bad need of • Infrastructure • LCMS Software • Qualified staff and Faculty Members • New Policies, and Regulations • Ready Students who can do self directed learning (Learning how to learn)

  11. Assumption 4 • Egypt is very far behind the …. in the field of e-Learning (Kuds Virtual University, Syria Virtual University, Iraq VU….) • We are still debating about “is e-Learning for us?

Good Indicators • Internet Connectivity is everywhere • Computational Power is Growing • Hands-on experience will be real through the Internet (Glove) • National e-L committee is formed in SCU • Blended Learning Programs in MU • M.SC in Environmental Engineering • Virtual courses are offered by Egyptian MOE • MU has about 20 e-Learning courses and about 30 are in the development phase
