Come and meet the children ofBleasdale C of E Primary! Watch our presentation and find out why we love our lives here at Bleasdale!
What makes us who we are! We tried to think of all the things that were important to us that would give you a picture of what we are like. First of all was…… Our friends and families!
Do you think you will recognise us when we meet? We are all great friends!
Our Church – Saint Eadmer’s We are a church school and our faith is an important part of the life of our school. We have worship every day and our Vicar comes in every week. The church is a short walk up the lane from school and we can go any time! We celebrate termly Eucharists there and perform a nativity play for the parish every Christmas.
Sport – we love it! Dance the night away! Winning the District Football Competition! We take part in lots of different sporting activities and have great fun – even winning many of the competitions we take part in! In the last year we have won District competitions for indoor and outdoor High Five, indoor and outdoor football, swimming gala, and came second in the athletics! Winning the District Swimming gala – again!
Nature and the Environment Our school is in the middle of the Trough of Bowland. We are surrounded by hills and fields. We even have our own woodland area and pond. It is full of wood carvings and hidden trails and an outdoor worship area. We work with the local countryside rangers to look after it. We also tend the village hall gardens and have created a sensory garden, insect hotel and a willow tunnel in the grounds. It is all part of our work to look after our environment as we are the proud owners of two eco green flags!
Learning in the Environment We do so many things outdoors, art, DT, science, numeracy – handling data, PE and Games, literacy, enterprise projects (we grew our own flowers to make planted pots to sell) and so much more!
..and finally, our school itself! Our school is a mixture of old and new – old dating back to 1850 and new just 2007. It was the school that many of our Grandparents and parents went to – and hopefully generations to come!
