SWOT ANALYSIS Weakness Strengths • Densely populated classrooms • Non existent guidelines on appointment of principals • Unconducive atmosphere for teachers in schools • Lack of training needs analysis • Policy “somersault” • Availability of qualified teachers sustained through quarterly replacement • Good economic base which guarantees regular teachers’ salary • Clustered nature of public schools makes for easy monitoring

None availability of instructional material & inability of teachers to improvise Narrow perception of free education Constant influx of people with school age children One teacher for all subjects in Pry Sch Lack of interest & motivation Why? Lack of clarity of concept of free education No Library or other facilities to promote reading Lagos is the economic hub Limited facilities for in-service training on effective utilization of teaching aids & various methods of teaching Why? Strict adherence to one teacher per class policy (Pry)
