  3. To get to Hawaii you have to travel a long way Hawaii is in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It is 2594 miles from Los Angeles, and by plane it takes over five hours to fly to Hawaii from San Francisco. GO!

  4. By boat it would take over a week to sail to Hawaii from California. Hawaii is an island chain that is geographically isolated by thousands of miles of ocean. GO!

  5. Hawaii became the 50th United State of America on August 21, 1959. But long before Hawaii was a State, it was an island.Rather, it was a group of islands. GO!
