  2. Abraham Lincoln • Our 16thPresident of the U.S. • Abraham Lincoln issued the executive order, The Emancipation Proclamation.

  3. Egyptian Pharaoh • The most known of famous Egyptian pharaohs is Tutankhamen, commonly referred to as King Tut. • Most pharaohs were men but some well-known pharaohs, such as Nefertiti and Cleopatra, were women.

  4. Degas the Dancer • The model for this sculpture was a ballet student at the Paris Opéra, where Degas often drew and painted. • Edgar Degas was a French artist famous for his work in painting, sculpture, printmaking and drawing.

  5. Albert Einstein • Einstein is often regarded as the father of modern physics. • He received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics.

  6. Easter Island Statues • Easter Island is famous for its 887 extant monumental statues. • In recent times the island has served as a warning of the cultural and environmental dangers of overexploitation.
