  2. Solar Flares The Sun is a big star covered with fire. It can cause solar flares. They are really dangerous.

  3. Solar system • The Sun is in the Milky Way. • It has planets that orbit it. • The sun is in the center of the solar system.

How old and other facts • The Sun is about 4.5 billion years old. • It is about 93 million miles away from Earth. • It has gravity, its gravity keeps Earth and other planets in steady orbits. • The Sun is about 109 times larger than Earth. • The Sun produces incredible amounts of heat and light. • Its light is the building block for life on Earth.
