  3. Cefas and policy • Main advisors to UK Government (Defra) on marine and fisheries issues • Advised governments around the world on fisheries issues • Provide support to ICES/OSPAR and EU

  4. Fisheries, environment and climate • Numerous projects looking at climate and fisheries impacts • Biological understanding • Ecological studies • Fishers behaviour • Management implications • Growing economic experience • EIA experience

  5. Modelling expertise • Numerous environmental modellers • Modelled fisheries impacts of climate change at global, regional and local (species-specific) levels

  6. EU FP experience • Cefas staff have led FP projects, WPs and tasks on fisheries and environmental aspects • Experienced project and administrative staff
