MKI Work since 14/02/2011 and To Do • Point 2: • All eight electron-cloud coils installed (near warm-cold transition and pumping port) – 1 of 2 power supplies installed; • Christophe verified software changes; • Equipment re-consigned (Wed 19/1/2011) for installation of coil power supplies. • TO DO: • Pulse conditioning (ACOND) & waveforms verification scheduled for Monday 24/01/2011; • Carefully monitor TMR C & PFN C voltages • and identify cause of voltage reduction • that occurred between Dec. 4-6, 2010 • (possibly in DS tank ……). • Swap DS tanks between PFNs C & D: • during swap measure: • DS Charging resistor value (~75 Ω); • Parallel combination of voltage • divider and DS thyratron grading • circuit (~6.3 MΩ); • Parallel combination of PFN DC leakage • (~10 MΩ !) and MS thyratron grading • circuit (~30 MΩ); • In lab  total parallel resistance of ~3.4 MΩ. No coils by these flanges??... LIBD: 21 Jan 2011

MKI Work since 14/02/2011 and To Do • Point 8: • Christophe verified software changes; • 7 of 8 eight electron-cloud coils installed (near warm-cold transition and pumping port) – no power supplies yet.: • TO DO: Pulse conditioning (ACOND) and verify waveforms. • MKE’s • MKE4: • Switched last weekend for power-cut: restarted conditioning (LHC) Monday; • Arretd’urgence tests stopped conditioning Tuesday morning – vacuum pumps stopped & magnet vacuum increased to ~5e-6mbar!: restarted conditioning Wednesday; • Tests of access system stopped conditioning (at 42 kV) Thursday afternoon; • Conditioning restarted at 14:55hrs today …… • Must stop conditioning next Monday evening for an intervention on water for a conventional magnet…. • MKE6: • TO DO; • Verify calibration (as far as possible) and pulse waveforms; • Check kick with beam???...
