4.2 ex SHTP2 Grantees Since 1st August there are 3 (plus CCM who is already a grant recipient) additional grant recipients who are part of the bridging of finished SHTP2 grants in HPF states.

6.1 Primary Health Update • All 61 targeted PHCCs are providing services in Q2. • 151 of the 159 targeted PHCUs are providing services. Reasons for closures include: • Inaccessibility from insecurity • Some facilities (HealthNet) are no longer operational.
6.2 Primary Health Update Cont. • Only Birth attended is lagging behind,this is due to: • Lack of skilled birth attendants, • Lack of access to health facilities that are equipped for assisted deliveries, • Socio-cultural factors against deliveries away from home

6.5 Primary Health Update • DHIS: • Up till June 2012 BSF in coordination with MoH have now assisted in the training of 127 in 23 counties. • Of which 23 staff of CHD and 2 of SMOH. The remaining trainees are NGO staff who have a mandate to train the CHD staff. The plan is to train a further 70 persons in Q3 and 62 in Q4. • BSF sponsored a special training for advanced mapping with DHIS for one trainee from MoH and BSF in South Africa.
