Background • JTF-7 - Review of six water indicators: • Total water use • Public water supply • Connection of population to public water supply • Population connected to wastewater treatment • Wastewater treatment facilities • Concentration of pollutants in seawater and sediments
Findings at JTF-7 • These indicators cause difficulties • No effective system established • Lack of cooperation with water and sewage industry • Call for good practice and experience sharing in this field
Conclusion of JTF-7 • A workshop should be organized to share knowledge, good practice on establishing an effective system for data collection and quality assurance in the field of water (population connection to water supply and waste water treatment)
