Introduction • Comprehensive functional assessment is one of the keys to successful intervention and positive long-term outcome of an individual with FASD • Functional assessments go a step further than DSM IV Axis I and II diagnoses in that it provides dimensionality to the patients challenges • The dimensional perspective allows for true bio-psych-social interventions and long term treatment planning to take place
