Closing remarks (cont’d) • Detailed results in individual Session Summaries • General observations and remarks • Successfully increased awareness of current standardization activities in ITU-T, IEC, IEEE, IETF, OIF • Better understanding and appreciation of important issues and possible solutions • Need to continue and strengthen communication, coordination and cooperation effort between ITU-T, IEC, IEEE, IETF, OIF, and possibly others, by e.g. • Expanding use of common FTP area on ITU-T SG Web Sites for speedy exchange of information • Cross ‘fertilization’ and participation

  4. Closing remarks (cont’d) • Learning experience • Workshops need to be less tutorial and more interactive • Presentations could be shorter, more focused on issues and problem areas and standardization needs • Include some challenging statements/positions • Reserve more time for discussion
