  2. To Do: • Pick up a lined paper by the blue absent bin. Also… *If you are a boy get a round head and if you are a girl get an oval head. Do not write or draw on it!!! • Discuss with your neighbors proper fire safety procedures. We will discuss what you talked about. • Turn in your homework to the black basket on the table.

  3. 9-2-10 Objectives • I will complete a bio-glyph about me. • I will demonstrate safety during a hard lockdown, a soft lockdown and a shelter in place.

  4. Shelter in Place • During a shelter in place, youwill go about yourworkwith no interruptions. • The teacherwillberesponsible for taping the outsidedoor, taping the classroomdoor and locking the classroomdoor.

  5. Soft Lockdown • During a soft lockdownwewill continue working as usual. • We not bepermitted to use the bathroomwithout an escort. • The teacherwilllock the door and pull the black shade down.

  6. Hard Lockdown • During a hard lockdown, the studentswillgetinto a duck and cover position. • There willbe NO TALKING duringthis time. • The teacherwillbechecking the computer and alsobe in a duck and coverwhen possible. • If the door opens we are not looking.

  7. Write a Story: • Write a fiction story to go alongwithyour bio-glyph. • Makeyour story exiciting to read. • Do not forget to have a topic sentence in eachparagraphyouwrite.

  8. Bio-Glyphs 9-2-10 • Follow the directions very carefully to complete this assignment. • This assignment will be displayed in the classroom so please make sure you are doing a good job. • Take your time! • Color your picture!

  9. When you are done… • Turn your bio-glyph into the same black basket you put your homework in. • Turn in the bio-glyph direction sheet to me. • Wait for yournext direction.
