  2. Primary Project Aim Support Third Sector networks to enable participation in ESF 2010, 2011 and increase opportunities for delivering learning

  3. Objective 1. Provide a Regional Strategic Skills Manager to coordinate and manage the project  • co-ordinate and facilitate Learn East partners’ network • meetings • Support further development of Learn East Partners’ websites and • Learn east website. • Identify potential funding opportunities through ESF and other • work streams • Promote of Engage and Enable project at regional and national • level • - Learn East Website • - ESF Works • Disseminate information on national learning and skills policy • developments and other relevant learning information

Provide a Regional Strategic Skills Manager to coordinate and manage the project • Identify potential partnership work and commissioned tender opportunities - Future Jobs Fund - Work Programme - Skills for Care Apprenticeships • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with national & Regional stakeholders – SFA, TSNLA, Skills Third Sector, Consortia+, LLUK and LSIS, NAS, ACER, Skills for Care, Fair Train Forum • Provide co-ordination and reports for Regional Skills Advisory Group • Assist Skills Advisory Group with regular reviews of Third Sector Skills Action Plan & Skills for life Action Plan • Provide regional and national representation

Objective 2 – Develop Learn East Partner Network • Facilitate 8 Learn East meetings • Further development and support for maintenance of the 6 county websites linked to a Learn East web resource • Learn East will aim to secure at least one contract by October 2011 • Deliver 10 regional/sub regional events • 7 network meetings to date plus 5 additional project related working group meetings • Learn East Website regularly updated. 6 new/improved Learn East Partner websites linked to Learn East. • Unsuccessful with Community Grants but approached by TCHC to support its delivery. • Successful with LSIS Regional Response Fund Project to capacity build Learn East • Application submitted to Informal Adult Learning Fund • 1 Regional Stakeholder event 8 Sub regional delivered

Objective 3 – Promote role of Third Sector Learning Providers Lead research into the contribution that the sector can play as a provider of Learning and skills for employment to hard to reach learners and the unwaged, and develop promotional materials that include case studies to promote the findings • Regional Stakeholder Event March 2010 • Help in a box Resource Commissioning Learning and Skills From the Voluntary Sector • Case Studies on Learn East Website • Regional Stakeholder Event for VCS Providers & FE 14th September 2011

Objective 4 – Promote capacity building by supporting workforce development for staff in learning provider organisations • Manage a Bursary Scheme for accredited qualifications in teaching, advice and guidance, coaching and mentoring • Promote Apprenticeships • 66 Applications • 49 Successful applicants • PTLLS (24), CTLLS (6) DTLLS (2) • Learner Support (5) • Train the Trainer (2) • Assessor Award (3) • IAG L3/L4 (5) • Coaching for work (2) • Links with NAS • Pilot Apprenticeship Training Association model Project with Skills for Care - HTDC

  8. Project Evaluation Currently two surveys being undertaken • Beneficiary Organisation Support Impact Questionnaire (126) • Stakeholder Benefit Questionnaire (12) Also include: Interviews with Learn East partners, stakeholders and beneficiary organisations

  9. Current Project Activity • Planning for the September event • Ensuring all project outputs are met and all budgets spent • Gathering information on match funding and project ideas for preparation of new TA project bid • Contributing to project evaluation
