  2. Project Creation • File → New → Blank Project • Give a name… • Project → Information

  3. Form the Team • Tools -> Assign Resources (ALT+F10)

  4. Milestones, Phases, Tasks, Activities… • Milestones are tasks of zero duration – important check points or events • The hierarchy of control points in the project is your choice • Typically Phases include tasks, tasks include activities, and so on… • Identify the phases first, assign boundary conditions • Then work within each phase, and assign similar boundary conditions • Dependencies may be built between phases, between tasks (within or across phases), or between a phase and a task, and so on…

  5. Recurring Tasks • Insert → Recurring Task

  6. Report Generation • Critical path analysis • Degree of completion (task wise) • Resource utilization / task utilization • Cost monitoring • Task assignment (who does what and by when) • …
