Strategies for improving HIS in terms of emergency response…. • Central Health information department in collaboration with environmental & Occupational health department and other end-users have the responsibility of setting standards, controlling quality and overseeing the use of information. • Periodic assessment carried out to measure the extent of information use and to devise measures for improvement. Strategies for improving HIS in terms of emergency response…. • Strengthen evidence-base to inform management, health planners, health care providers. • Improvement of tools for health data management and better understanding of their use in emergency and disaster response • Increase dialogue between national, regional and international organizations and actors working in emergency and disaster response.
