Making a banana cream pie is really very easy. First, get all of the ingredients at the market. Mix them well, bake, and serve.
In that case, go home and pack a suitcase. Take a planeto Hungary.Find a farm and gather some wheat. An armful or two will do. A fun fact about Hungary is that the 8tholdest woman in the world lived there.
Take a gunner shipto Austriaand locate a chicken. Bring the chicken with you. There’s less chance of breaking the egg that way. Say hi to King Phillip’s grave in Austria.
Take a boatto Belgiumand make the acquaintance of a cow. Bring the whole cow with you for the freshest possible results. After World War 2, Belgians set about rebuilding their nation.
Take a planeto Sweden.Walk to the nearest sugar beet plantation. Introduce yourself to everyone . Then, go into the field and pick some sugar beets. Kids in Sweden start school at age 6 or 7.
Wait a minute! Aren’t you forgetting something? What about the bananas? Have the pilot drop you off in Colombia.Colombia has bananas to eat and coffee.
Get to the nearest banana tree. Pick a few bananas. Give one to the chicken, one to the cow, and eat one yourself.
What about the cream? Take a train to England. Milk acow, whip the milk into cream and take it with you. Hurry home, stopping at Jones Beach to pick up a jar of salty seawater. England has the fewest public holidays in Europe.
Now all you have to do is mill the wheat into flour, evaporate the seawater from the salt, boil the sugar, persuade the chicken to lay an egg, milk the cow, churn the milk into butter, slice the bananas, add in the cream, mix the ingredients, and bake the pie. While the pie is cooling, invite some friends over to share it with you.
Remember that banana cream pie tastes delicious topped with vanilla ice cream, which you can get at the market. But if the market happens to be closed…
