  3. Crossover Question: How are the settings of “The Tiger” and the passage from Fahrenheit 451 similar?

  4. Crossover Question: You must use evidence from BOTH selections. You get 10 lines to use

  6. As always… • Stay focused on your thesis. • Make sure quotes are blended. • Make sure your explanation connects your quote to your thesis • How does your quote support your thesis?

  7. What’s the problem with this thesis: They are the same.

  8. Thesis: Write a thesis in response to the question.

  9. Support (1): Find and write down a quote from “The Tiger” to support the thesis. Support (2): Find and write down a quote from the Fahrenheit 451 passage to support the thesis.

  10. Explain (1/2): Explain how these quotes prove your thesis about the setting.

  11. Crossover Question: What does fire represent in “The Tiger” and the passage from Fahrenheit 451? Support your answer with evidence from both selections.
