H. Once tempted, sin emanates for a thought, a motive, an act of wrongdoing, plus a state of alienation from God.
1) Emotional sins. This is allowing your emotions to take control of your soul.
1) Emotional sins: This is allowing your emotions to take control of your soul. a) Sins related to fear, worry and anxiety; hatred, anger, violence, and murder; self-pity; guilt.
2) Mental sins: These are your thoughts running with or massaging the temptations from your OSN.
These include arrogance, pride, jealousy, implacability, bitterness, vindictiveness, inordinate ambition and inordinate competition, all motivational sins, and sinful thoughts.
3) Verbal sins: These are the sins that you speak or say out loud. They include gossip, maligning, slander, judging, lying, and verbal deception.
4) Overt sins:These are sins performed or acted out with your body. They include chemical sins, sexual sins, criminal sins, etc.
God has given us a list of seven sins that He hates.Prov 6:16-19
I. The Importance of Understanding Sin 1. So that you can avoid temptation, recognizing it to be what it is.
2. To make the function of rebound possible.3. To keep closer accounts with God.
4. So you don’t decline in the spiritual life, go into reversionism and become involved in the Cosmic System.
5. So you don't think that you have reached sinless perfection, or that you sin infrequently.
1 John 1:8,“If we say we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth (doctrine) is not in us.”
1 John 1:10,“If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.”
6. To remain in or regain the filling of the Holy Spirit. Eph 5:18 w/ 1 John 1:9
7. To continue to metabolize Bible Doctrine and to advance to the Life Beyond GNOSIS. John 14:26; 16:12-14; 1 Cor 2:9-16
8. To understand your experiential status quo in the Spiritual Life, having stability and continued spiritual growth.
9. So as a Royal Priest, you can deal with your own sins before the Lord, and avoid Divine Discipline.
10. So you don’t blame others for the function of your own volition; taking responsibility for your own decisions.
