  4. Equality • Why is gender inequality an issue in the American Court System when it is 2013 and should be abolished? • Is this problem started in law school?

  5. Hypothesis • Culture has formed our thoughts for us. It has led us to believe men and women should be treated differently and for that Americans do not have the effort to change this reasoning.

  6. Who Cares? • It’s simple, anyone who will be involved with the court system. Would you want to be sentenced based on your gender?

  7. The Gap • There is a lot of research and data already out there about the inequalities within the actual court. There are many statistics and studies done to show that women are favored more than men when being defendants but men are favored more than women when it comes to getting a job in the legal system as lawyers, judges etc. • Why? Is this starting from law school and the teaching methods or is it happening from culture? • I will focus my research on the inequalities through the law school experience.

  8. Research • Meta – Analysis • Interview • Questionnaire

  9. Results • After interviewing male about his experience through law school, he did not feel as though there were inequalities based on gender. He did not feel as though he experienced any of this first hand. • Female has different views and will be interviewed in the future of this project.
