Characters Harry Potter Ron Weasley Hermione Granger
Harry Potter Physical: Harry is a small, skinny boy with messy jet-black hair and green eyes. He is often told that he resembles his father, James Potter. Harry has a scar on his forehead in the shape of a lightning bolt which is the result of a failed curse from Lord Voldemort. Emotional: Harry is not generally an emotional person but in The Deathly Hallows, he portrays a different side as he searches for Horcruxes. He keeps his emotions bottled up inside as he tries to be brave and let nothing come between him and his goal of ending Voldemort. I believe he is strong-willed like this because of his childhood of neglect from his aunt and uncle as well as the fear of Voldemort gaining power over the wizardry world. Relational: Harry has two best friends that he has had since he started school at Hogwarts School of Witch Craft and Wizardry. He is loyal, trustworthy and very selfless to both Ron and Hermione. Harry has never had much of a family life growing up so he deeply considers both of them as his family. He is very protective of the people that he is connected to.
Ronald Weasley Physical: Ron has the typical “Weasley trait” which consists of the red hair, and freckled complexion. He has a tall stature, and blue eyes. Emotional: Ron is a very emotional character in The Deathly Hallows because of his jealousy in the beginning of the journey searching for horcruxes. He watches Hermione and Harry shine as they take control during the hunt and becomes angry, not only at them but at the fact that he has been running from home for months. He decides to leave in rage, later returning for his loyalty to his friends. Relational: Ron is the sixth pure-blood wizard in the Weasley family. He has a strong relationship with his parents and siblings. Harry is like a brother to him, and is part of his family. He is loyal and respects Harry for everything he has been through. Along with Harry his best friend, he is friends and also in love with Hermione Granger. Although they fight a great deal, they have always come to a reconciliation.
Hermione Granger Physical: Hermione has long, brown, curly hair and has brown eyes. She is tall and skinny. Emotional: Hermione is a very emotional character, mainly because she is a perfectionist. She tries to holds everything together, even when things are going wrong. At times through their journey, she breaks down for the fear of failure. Hermione comes off as a bossy, mean girl when really, she is only looking out for their best interest. Relational: Hermione is a muggle- born witch who no longer has any connections with her biological family. She, like Harry, has been embraced into the Weasley family as one of their own. She has a strong connection with Harry because they both seek to bring down Voldemort. When they are working together, they can accomplish anything. She is very organized, prepared and intelligent. Another strong relationship Hermione has is that with Ron. Throughout school Hermione has always seemed aggravated with him, yet in The Deathly Hallows, they marry each other and start a family.

Cast Of Characters Ronald Weasley: Rupert Grint Hermione Granger: Emma Watson Harry Potter: Daniel Radcliffe I chose the actor Emma Watson to play the roll of Hermione Granger because she is currently playing the roll. I believe I chose Rupert Grint for the actor of Ronald Weasley because he is I chose Daniel Radcliff for the actor of Harry Potter because he is the current actor for presently the actor for this role. I believe he has done a adequate job acting this role because he physically portrays the character. Rupert is tall and has the “Weasley trait” which consist of red hair and a freckled complexion. this movie, along with the past 6 movies. I think that he has done a tremendous job acting in this role. He is a great actor and the movies wouldn’t be the same if he wasn’t in them. Daniel also fits the role physically. He has a jet black hair and a small, somewhat skinny build like Harry does in the book. that she has done an amazing job thus far because she puts in the emotion needed for this character and can really show Hermione’s bossy side. Emma also fits the physical aspect of the role. She has brown, curly hair, is somewhat tall and has brown eyes.
Writing Style “The hallway was large, dimly lit and sumptuously decorated with a magnificent carpet covering most of the stone floor. The eyes of the pale-faced portraits on the walls followed Snape and Yaxley as they strode past. The two men halted at a heavy wooden door leading into the next room, hesitated for the space of a heartbeat, then Snape turned the bronze handle.” “’Saturday… at nightfall,’ repeated Voldemort. His red eyes fastened upon Snape’s black ones with such intensity that some of the watchers looked away, apparently fearful that they themselves would be scorched by the ferocity of the gaze. Snape, however, looked calmly back into Voldemort’s face and, after a moment of two, Voldemort’s lipless mouth curved into something like a smile” “ A gigantic dragon was tethered to the ground in front of them, barring access to four or five of the deepest vaults in the place. The beast’s scales had turned pale and flaky during its long incarceration under the ground; its eyes were milkily pink: both rear legs bore heavy cuffs from which chains led to enormous pegs driven deep into the rocky floor. Its great spiked wings, folded close to its body, would have filled the chamber if it spread them, and when it turned its ugly head towards them, it roared with a noise that made the rock tremble, opened its mouth and spat a jet of fire that sent them running up the passageway.”
“They directed their wands into every nook and crevice, turning cautiously on the spot. It was impossible not to brush up against anything; Harry sent a great cascade of fake Galleons on to the ground where they joined the goblets, and now there was scarcely room to place their feet, and the glowing fold blazed with heat, so that the vault felt like a furnace. Harry’s wandlight passed over shields and goblin-made helmets set on shelves rising to the ceiling. Higher and higher he raised the beam, until suddenly it found an object that made his heart skip and his hand tremble.” “The darkness seemed to be rippling, the air itself quivering”
Plot: Climax In The Deathly Hallows, there is a lot of action that leads to the climax of the book, but I believe that the actual moment is when Harry finds out that he is the seventh horcrux. Harry watches through the pensieve, and into the final memory of Snape and Dumbledore as they discuss the truth about Harry and Voldemort. When Voldemort tried to kill Harry as a child, the curse re-bound on himself but left a fragment of his soul within Harry. In order for Harry to destroy Voldemort, he must also destroy himself. Dumbledore had known all along that this would lead Harry to his own death, yet, did not say anything to him. Harry feels as if he is betrayed and knows that he will soon be defeated by the hands of Voldemort. He sees that all of his hard work over the past few years, seeking ways to avenge him, have been wasted. If Harry would have known this all along, maybe things would have been different and he wouldn’t have been in this situation. He would simply be a young boy living at #4 Private Drive with his aunt and uncle. Potter Watch News Report
Conflict Before Dumbledore’s passing, he left Harry one thing to do: save the world of magic and defeat Voldemort in the process. Harry is constantly second guessing what Dumbledore’s true intentions were for him. Harry feels the pressure build as he sees the immense difficulty behind finding these well-hidden and well-defended objects. He becomes frustrated and angry with Dumbledore, for he should have given him more guidance and information. Harry constantly asks him self if Dumbledore ever loved him and continues his questioning when he reads new articles released about Dumbledore’s past life. This is present conflict throughout the book because it is always in the back of Harry’s mind and prolongs his journey of finding the Horcruxes. If only Dumbledore would have prepared Harry more, left him more direction, or even more clues, Harry, Ron and Hermione would have been able to obtain the Horcruxes faster and bring down Voldemort sooner, possibly without all of the destruction and death. “Look what he asked from me, Hermione! Risk your life, Harry! And again! And Again! And don’t expect me to explain everything, just trust me blindly, trust that I know what I’m doing, trust me even though I don’t trust you! Never the whole truth! Never!” Harry Potter
Theme I believe the author chose the title “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” because of the three symbols that represent the hallows. Long ago, there was a legend told that defined the deathly hallows. Death presented three brothers with three wishes. The elder wand which was considered so powerful that it could not be defeated, the resurrection stone which could recall people from death and lastly the cloak of invisibility, which allows the owner to render completely invisible once beneath. It is said that whomever possesses these three items, will be the true master of death. Harry had possessed all three items before, but no more then two at one time. He had never realized the true meaning behind these items which could have been beneficial to him in his search for Horcruxes. I believe this is a perfect title for the book because it represents a huge part of Harry’s search towards the end. Once everything started to come into perspective for Harry, he makes the connections of each item and is able to obtain all three. • “‘The Elder Wand,’ he said, and he drew a straight vertical line on the parchment. ‘The Resurrection Stone,’ he said, and he added a circle on top of the line. ‘The Cloak of Invisibility,’ he finished, enclosing both line and circle in a triangle, to make the symbol that so intrigued Hermione. ‘Together,’ he said, ‘the Deathly Hallows.’” - Xenophilius Lovegood
