There are many different habitats that are a part of the Intertidal Zone classification such as: Sandy beaches Rocky Cliffs And Marshlands
Just about anywhere there is a coast You will be able to find intertidal zones
Species living in this environment deal with the changes in tide every 12 hours. A crab can move between zones and feed on algae and plankton Barnacles regulate water loss with their impermeable chitin shells Mussels are filter feeders and clean out plankton and other matter Algae and plankton photosynthesize and are the bases of the food chain
There are many forms of life in tide pools such as: Sculpin Northern Clingfish Epaulette Shark
Predators of intertidal zones include: Harbor Seals Seagulls Pelicans
