2.DONGRAE HAKCHOOM ‘Dongrae’ is a place name where Dongrae hakchoom was made. “Hak” means red crowned crane in Korean. According to history, there used to be many cranes living in Dongrae. People created this traditional dance, observing the graceful movements of cranes.
The dance spontaneously generated through years and years. Dongrae hakchoom is the only one that describes “a bird” among all Korean traditional dances. Performer wears a white dopo(Korean traditional clothes). Dopo is simple but beautiful. The clothes shows Dongrae hakchoom’s simple beauty very well.
3.GAYAGEUM The gayageum or kayagum is a traditional Korean zither-like string instrument, with 12 strings, although more recently variants have been constructed with 21 or other numbers of strings. It is probably the best known traditional Korean musical instrument.
