The 84th Annual International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Show was recently held in Las Vegas, Nevada where Five Pawns was one of only two liquid manufacturers representing the vaping community. Immediately upon entering the venue, I noticed the undeniable air of class and professionalism that I had yet to witness in our industry. This was a business to business event with over 800 buyer groups from all over the world. High-level conversations were being had with some key players in the cigar aficionado space and the amount of business being written was impressive.

In the five days we supported this event, we were able to embrace the opportunity to educate non-vapers on the benefits of vaping and harm reduction. • More often than not we found we were defending the business because the show attendees felt that our industry caused the FDA to pose regulations on the cigar space. We recognize that our industry is young and immature and we can certainly learn a lot from leaders within this business. It’s important to us that we legitimize the industry in the eyes of the 97% of smokers who have yet to transition to vaping because of the lack of information, intimidating technology, and the stigma of the culture.

  4. We came away with valuable feedback and identified opportunities to target the culture of aficionados and appeal to a broader audience. We hope to impress upon our industry that we are in the midst of a grand opportunity to help smokers make a switch to vaping and to do it with class.
