Our Special’s time • 9:15 a.m.-10:00 a.m. • PE- Monday, Wednesday and Thursday • Computers- Tuesday • Music- Friday • ALL Conferences MUST be Scheduled

Absent & Tardy Information • We strive to have all Converse Cougars in 100% attendance each and every day! • What counts as an absence? • A student who misses the entire school day • A student who arrives to school after 9:30 • A student who is signed out of school before 9:30 and does not return with a note from a physician • What counts as a tardy? • A student who arrives to class after 7:30
Attendance • Whenever possible, please refrain from picking your child(ren) up prior to 2:30. • Our teachers are instructing their classes until we dismiss at the end of the day.
School Phone Number • 210-945-1210 • We ask parents & guardians to call the school before 7:30 if your child is going to be absent from school or may arrive late
Dismissal Procedure • Students will be sent home by the method the parent/guardian informs the school at the beginning of the school year. • In the interest of student safety, a phone call will not be accepted to change a student’s method for getting home. • All changes must be made in writing and signed by the parent/guardian
Volunteer Training • According to JISD policy, all adults who would like to volunteer in school must complete a training first each school year. • There are many ways to volunteer at Converse • Assist on field trips • Read with students • Complete tasks for teachers • Assist with one or more of our events
On-line Training • NEW this school year, you may go on-line to register to be a volunteer. • www.judsonisd.org • Click on the RESOURCES for PARENTS • Click on VOLUNTEERING • Read the presentation • Verify and Agree • Complete information • A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you
Meal Application • All families must apply to see if your children qualify for FREE or REDUCED lunch • This may be completed on-line • www.schoollunchapp.com
Parent Center • Parent Center is a web application aimed at keeping parents informed and involved in the everyday activities of their child(ren). • The Goal is to make life a little easier for parents by bringing information together into one location in a user-friendly format. • Features include: • Student Attendance information • Student Grades by subject and for each assignment • Student Meal account & daily purchases • Set up is simple through the Judson web page, www.judsonisd.org
