Training Concept Target Audience - State Agency Liaisons Number of participants - 50-75 Goal - State Agency Liaisons will have a broader comprehension of the roles, responsibilities and functions of Emergency Support Function concept resulting in their ability to more effectively employ a wider range of supporting agencies and organizations during times of emergency or disaster.     3. SAL Steering Committee Initial Input Each state agency will be able to recognize which ESFs they have the ability to support. Each ESF lead agency will be able to employ a wider range of support agencies. Each SAL will be able to identify the other SALs they need to work with to prepare for emergency response. DRAFT 3

Proposed Objectives State Agency Liaisons will be able to list the appropriate supporting state agencies to their corresponding Emergency Support Function (ESF) based on the state agency’s mission, organization, capabilities limitations and constraints. State Agency Liaisons will be able to describe the organization, role and responsibilities of their State Agency in its assigned ESF. State Agency Liaisons will be able to describe the process used to analyze Requests for Resources in order to determine the most appropriate use of resources to execute ESF taskings from the State EOC. Proposed Sequence of Events March 2010 - Review of ESF responsibilities outlined in the CEMP Homework – Develop one – two page agency capabilities fact sheet – coordinated and vetted through parent state agency May 2010 – Seminar/Workshop ESF capabilities discussion – primary and supporting agencies (capability fact sheets – primary reference to facilitate discussion) DRAFT 5
