  5. I meet up with these friends elsewhere For some members, Claremont is their primary or only meeting place. Over 2/3rds of Claremont members do meet up elsewhere. As you’d expect, there is a strong correlation between length of membership and seeing friends elsewhere.

  6. I have learned new things at Claremont 88.24% said that they have learned new things at Claremont. Some people come to Claremont more to enjoy concerts, tea, and to do things they already know and enjoy.

  7. I feel I give something to others at Claremont Giving to others is an important aspect to mental well-being and we try to find ways to encourage it at Claremont. 77% agree or strongly agree that they do it here.

  8. Claremont values all kinds of people Valuing others is another key aspect of well-being. We did have one respondent who strongly disagreed that Claremont values people and one who wasn’t sure.

  9. I have improved my fitness at Claremont Not all activities at Claremont relate obviously to physical health. Nevertheless, 78.23% felt that their fitness had improved as a result of attending.

  10. I can reflect and be creative at Claremont Not all classes are aimed at personal reflection and creativity. 82.64% agreed or strongly agreed that they can experience those at Claremont.

  14. Class prices are good value We increased our class prices this year for the first time in many years. We were pleased to see that no-one said that the fees were not good value.

  15. Claremont's building is … We would certainly like to improve the fabric of the building, especially the ground floor.

  16. Generally, how do you rate Claremont's staff?

  17. How old are you? We have a good spread of ages in those responding to the questionnaire.

  18.  Or you female or male? We are working to increase the number of men coming to Claremont. Unfortunately men of these generations still die younger than women, although this is gradually shifting. (It is predicted to be the other way round by mid-century).

  19. A Selection of Comments • Claremont has helped me a lot. I especially enjoy Classic Concert also 1st Friday entertainment. I would like to thank all the staff for their help and support. Long may it continue. • I feel happy here. I love to be here because when I am here I feel more happy. I make friends here I am always looking forward to come here. • You are all doing a great jolly good job. Claremont means a lot to me. • Claremont is a life line • It gives me entertainment and social activity when I meet my friends and discuss what we have seen or heard that afternoon. I also appreciate the music presented by the students (3 year) of the Royal College of Music. • It is a life line to me since my husband died. The members are friendly and I love coming here. • Claremont means everything to me. We are like family. • Claremont is a very special place for enjoying hobbies and meeting new people and old friends. • I think you are a 'Godsend' to many who pass through your doors. Well done and I highly recommend Claremont Project to people to air their boredom of having nothing to do and nowhere to go to meet like-minded people. • It means everything to me to be able to attend Claremont.
