Think of it like • Mail, Fedex, FAX, email, carrier pigeon…. • You send a letter • Someone receives it • Sends you a response
Old School Setup a server somewhere Pay money to host it Configure the software Spend days troubleshooting the configuration Pay someone to maintain it Figure out how to deploy Write code and finally build your site
Looks great, but what’s the catch? • OpenShift is free-as-in-beer & free-as-in-freedom • Three gears – 1.5 gig RAM, 3 gig Disk (always free) • Need more resources, just ask! • The Catch is we are in developer preview right now
