Philo Farnsworth • American inventor who developed the first all-electronic television system in 1927.
Farnsworth • As a teenager, Farnsworth became interested in the problem of television and was convinced that mechanical systems that used (EX. the spinning disc) would be too slow to scan and assemble images many times a second. • He determined that only an electronic system could scan and assemble an image fast enough. • By 1922 (while still in high school), Farnsworth worked out the basic outline of an electronic television system.
