  5. There is a way to be organized! Develop a Calendar!

  6. Why is a Calendar Important? • It holds Regional board members accountable. • It lets the Region and volunteers know what is happening and who is responsible. • It shows your commitment to the Regional plan. • Parents love an organized Region and good communication.

  8. This is one of the opening pages to a hand out calendar for parents to help keep your Region information close at hand as well as promote AYSO!

  9. How would a calendar help in these situations? • We have a Safety Director who does nothing. • Our Region has many untrained coaches. • Parents are always complaining. • Players are leaving to join the club programs.

  10. Delegation Once you have everything listed on the calendar, it is time to delegate! YES! NO!

  12. Why is it hard to delegate? • It takes a lot of up-front effort. • I am afraid of failure • I don’t want to lose control • I will not get credit • I can do it better • I have no confidence in team members - I got burned before
