  3. Biography • JaumeHuguet was born in Valls, Tarragona, Spain in 1412. • He was Spanish. • He was an orphan in 1419. • He was raised by his uncle Pere Huguet. • His uncle Pere was a painter.

  4. Major Influences: • His uncle Pere Huguet • Spanish Artist, BernatMartoreu • Spanish Artist, Luis Dalmau

  5. Painting Style: • His painting style had French, Italian and Flemish designs. • He painted lots of Flowers. • He painted nature. • He painted gold leaves. • He painted religious pictures. • He painted above and behind the altar in Christian churches.

How JaumeHuguet painted: • He used a piece of wood from a tree to paint. • They put animal glue on the wood. • Then they put a piece of cloth on top of the wood. • They kept putting animal glue and cloth up to 15 times. • He painted with Tempra paint. • Tempra paint was made out of egg yolk. • He used charcoal to draw his picture. • He painted behind or above church altars.

  8. THE LAST SUPPER BY Jaumehuget JaumeHuguet painted Jesus’s clothes darker than the disciples clothes, so that Jesus will stand out in the painting. It looks like Jesus is looking at you. Jesus has his right hand up, so he can bless whoever is looking at the painting. Everyone has a halo on their head except Judas Iscariot. Judas doesn't have a halo because he is going to betray Jesus.
